Assassin's Creed 2 addicted? - Well, kinda...

Last year some weeks before Christmas highly anticipated Assassin's Creed 2 arrive at my home and unfortunately I was only able to finish it today. By surprise I noticed today I also received a Bonus Code to unlock additional content. Joy :-)

Flower for PS3

After completing my university exams I finally found the time to play a game called "Flower" which was released some months ago for the Playstation 3 by the creators of fl0w.

In my opinion ThatGameCompany has done it again and you must not miss this title cause it is one of these games that is relaxing instead of stressing you out.

Playstation Home Beta Invitation

These days I read Sony sent out some new invitations for their Playstation Home beta program and lucky as I am these days I found one of these email in my mailbox this morning ^^

Little Big Planet arrived ^^

Last Friday I got a nice package in my mailbox. After endless delays this time "Little Big Planet" for the Playstation 3 finally arrived at my home. This game really kicks ass and does not underperform.
It is even more fun playing with others in co-op mode together. Those of you who like to play something else than First Person Shooters all the time will not regret the buy.
Oh and if you like the song from the first promo videos and didn't know the song title, here it is: "Get it together" by "The Go! Team".

A weird song that is somewhat catchy though...

new Playstation Home beta accounts

Do you want to get into Home? Do you wish Sony would allow you to show how interested you are in being a part of the expanded Beta? All you have to do is download the new Home theme that will be available in the store today. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? I’m so excited!

Sony is using a variety of factors to determine who will be in the expanded Beta. PSN usage and other things will be a part of this evaluation. Of course the detailed process of evaluation was not explained. So Home enthusiasts, PSN lovers, and Playstation users should get that theme today.

Later today, the PLAYSTATION Store will be updated with a PlayStation Home theme. By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. We will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community. Existing beta testers have automatically qualified to be part of the expanded beta.

We’re really excited about this milestone and want our most loyal fans to be a part of the evolution of PlayStation Home.

In Europe, SCEE is also beginning their expanded closed beta, directly targeting consumers who have been most active on PLAYSTATION Network and PLAYSTATION Store. SCEE will be in email contact with their PSN audience very shortly.

Playstation Home Download

You've probably seen the screens and videos of Sony's Second Life clone called "Home".
Anyway, the Beta program started some weeks or even months ago but it is not open for the public yet.
Hmm, guess who uploaded the Playstation 3 installer package on his lovely server? This time it is not me but the Sony guys seems to have forgotten their own link. Hehehe.
So grab here the download file from the playstation.net servers.

BTW: You can either download the file on your PC and transfer it via USB key to the PS3 or you simply visit koteshi.com with your PS3 webbrowser and save the file directly on the Playstation's harddisk.

Gran Turismo 5 available for Download

This night I received an email by Sony telling me that the new Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is available for download in the Playstation Store and in shops as Blu Ray disc version. So I were kinda busy this night playing... O:-)

UPDATE #1: To play online you need to download a so called Spec II update. Well right now the servers seem to be too busy, because all the time when I try to download I just get an error code.

UPDATE #2: Woohoo, the update is finally downloading. But it takes ages.... :(

2.0 firmware for Sony's Playstation 3 has arrived

It's been floating through the P2P networks before as beta version: Sony's 2.0 firmware for their cell processor flagship.
So what's in store for us in this latest firmware update? In a nutshell, Remote Start, Information Board, and other feature upgrades.

Ok, what's new:

• Custom themes - You can now customize the XMB icons or background design
• Playlists - You can now create playlists to organize photo and music content.
• Information board - PlayStation related news can be displayed on the XMB screen.
• Remote start - You can now turn on a PS3 in standby mode with your PSP via the Internet and access all hard drive stored files.

I surrender

Sony just released the new 3.0 firmware for the PSP and I'm not longer trying to get the Chotto Shot run on 1.50...

Yeah, I surrender. But fortunately I don't own only one PSP. So I will upgrade my white TA-082 to 3.0 and hope to enjoy the nice new features.
If anyone gets the cam to work on DevHook or 1.50 firmware feel free to make a comment... :-(
